This is little more than a stream.  But with 3.4 km canoeing across the lake and down the Brda to the campsite for www.Kajaki.pl in Sworgacie it makes a lovely easy day trip.

Our guide was Lech Augustynski.  Click here for his site.

0.0  km – Launch left bank below the weir at Chocinski Mlyn bridge, the site of an old mill.  Mlyn means mill.

Take a moment to see the memorial to a 25-year-old man presumably killed in a road accident here.  The Poles frequently put up roadside memorials to accident victims, but they prefer plaques, oil lamps and candles to the English bunch of flowers.  They are very moving.

The river starts off narrow and meandering through grassland.   There are no rapids and no problems for single kayakers with any experience.  However, double kayaks and Canadians are liable to get stuck occasionally, especially with children paddling.

0.5 km - Very low wooden footbridge. Easy portage

The river enters woodland but continues to meander wildly.

Look out for the stork’s nest right
