Her position seems to be that she is against the war, but she also wants to keep in with Blair and new Labour. I.e. she is the sort of pacifist who wants to have her cake and eat it - to salve her conscience but not bear the consequences of her actions. I guess she also supports Chirac - scupper the UN, safe in the knowledge that Bush and Blair will sort out the problem. I hope her constituents in Redcar are happy. I wouldn't be. My own MP in Sherwood, Paddy Tipping, another Blairite “yes man”, also abstained on the main vote, and I'm disgusted with him. What sort of MP abstains on an issue like this?
