Senior Fairness Officer Chief Executive's Department

Bolton Metro Council

Salary: £24,726 to £27,420

We are looking for an experienced officer to help advise Bolton Council on how to open up Council jobs and ser­vices to members of socially excluded groups. The fairness team is trying to promote generic fairness posts and you will be expected to work across the full range of fairness issues. . . . You must have the ability to manage change inside a corporate environment and have a detailed knowledge and/or experience of disability, age and gender issues, together with knowledge of the politics of developments in a positive application of fairness issues.

Housing Market Renewal Co_ordinator

The Co-ordinator will lead on the delivery of programmes on regeneration in Manchester as part of the activity of the Manchester and Salford Pathfinder, which is leading the national market renewal initiative. We are looking for an individual with a range of key strengths that will operate at Chief Officer level and will have the necessary skills to interact with and engage key partners, in the public and private sector, in order to drive forward this complex agenda.

Salary: £33,642 to £35,928

Reporting to the Head of Strategic Sourcing, your objective will be to ensure that sustainability is recognised as a key priority across the council. You will need to work closely with other departments, developing the corporate framework and ensuring it is embedded in their business processes. You will be responsible for the procurement of the Council's energy sup­plies in accordance with Best Value and take forward partnership working in relation to the agreed sustainability objectives.

Domestic Violence Co-ordinator

Haringey Council

Haringey Domestic Violence Service was set up in 2001 as a result of a multi-agency review of domestic violence services in the borough ...  The Equalities and Diversity Unit is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated person to continue to deliver this work through the maternity cover period.  Responsibilities include delivery of a borough-wide strategy and integrated domestic violence policies as part of a multi-partnership initiative and to co-ordinate the work of the Domestic Violence Joint Commissioning Group. . . .  Applications are particularly welcomed from women, black and minority ethnic groups and disabled people as they are currently under-represented. Health Development Co-ordinator for Healthy Eating

Health Improvement Directorate,

Haringey Primary Care Trust

Salary: £25,000 to £30,000

  You will develop, implement and manage the New Opportunities Fund 'Five a Day Programme'. The aim of the programme is to increase the consumption and availability of fruit and vegetables to the communities of Edmonton and Tottenham.

The programme specifically targets:

Schools in those areas of the boroughs with highest health needs. This will involve encouraging schools to adopt a whole school approach to healthy eating, provid­ing training where necessary.

Communities where the consumption of fruit and vegetables is low. The Coordinator will work closely with local communi­ties: training community nutrition assis­tants, exploring the opportunities for Food Co-ops, Farmers Markets and allotments.

Helping to give our students more than a qualification, you'll manage and develop projects which add an extra dimension to learners' lives. Developing relationships with a wide range of external bodies, you'll organise events such as Health Week or Black History Week. With a degree or relevant professional qualification, you'll have experience of managing projects, co-ordinating people and processes within budget and timescales and, ideally, awareness of FE issues and the needs of a diverse student body.
