iGreens think the Earth summit in Johannesburg is doing more harm than good.   The 30,000 delegates and journalists, and their flights and hotels, not only waste money but damage the environment they purport to protect.  50,000 tons of CO2 by some accounts.  

They harm the poor directly by passing treaties and regulations based on the precautionary principle, or the priorities of the rich west, which slow economic development.  

Finally they harm the environment by misdirecting the private resources that might protect it to wasteful government enterprises.
