Adventure holidays in Pakistan
You've canoed the main English touring rivers and know that iGreens provide the best guides. You've enjoyed our poetry selections. You know we talk sense on the environment, and you're planning an adventure holiday. Don't follow the crowd to Goa or Phuket. Go somewhere different - Pakistan.
Millenium Tours, a young Pakistani company based in Lahore, is run by my friend Hussain Jafri. Hussain has looked after me personally on two national lecture tours of Pakistan. He has helped my ex colleagues from Leeds and his own medical colleagues in Pakistan organise three highly successful charity walks to the base camps of K2, Nanga Parbat and Masherbrum.
These have raised large sums for the treatment of children with thalassaemia major. Pakistan has more children affected with this deadly but treatable genetic disease than all the rest of the world put together.
You can rely on Hussain. His pre-planned tours include trips to all the famous climbers' base camps in the Karakoram range, or down the Indus to see the legendary blind dolphins.
Travel along the Karakoram highway, stay in a traditional rural Punjab village, visit the famous Khewra salt mines, ride a camel and visit the archeological sites in the Cholistan desert. All these trips, and many more, can be individually arranged.
If you must go to Goa, at least break your trip in Pakistan. Let Millenium Tours arrange an itinerary for you. Click here for their website and tell them iGreens sent you.
