On 13 February 2002 the Scottish Parliament passed the Protection of Wild Mammals (Scotland) Bill to ban hunting with dogs in Scotland.

This infringes the freedom of a substantial minority of the population, and threatens the welfare and effective management of the wild mammal population.   It will damage the fabric of rural life across Scotland, and irreparably alter the environment.

The Scotland Fighting Fund has been launched to mount a sustained campaign to kill the Bill.  It will be challenged in the courts and opposed politically by all lawful campaigning techniques.
