Shire horses

The horse ploughing is one of the highlights of the competition

The eventual winners, the team of Mr. P Brassit of Beamish, started early.  

It requires great care and many stops for adjustment to get the line perfectly straight.  

But the horses are infinitely patient.

There were so many beautiful teams.
