At Penmaenpool near Barmouth a private road over a wooden toll bridge crosses the Afon Mawddach and joins the A493 to the A496, cutting out a 5 mile journey around the estuary.   25 pence
At Penrhyndeudraeth (Just south east of the Cob) there is a private toll road crossing the Afon Dwyryd and joining the A487 to the A496 (cutting out an 8 mile journey around the estuary).  20p  Click here for picture
